To commemorate the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Kastanje Cultural Centre arranged a screening the Ukrainian movie 'Animals in War'.
The screening offers a powerful and emotional cinematic experience. The film brings together seven touching stories of rescue and hope, of forming connection and loosing. It tells the story of war through the eyes of those who cannot defend themselves. It shows not only how they react to what happens, but also their own feelings. One of the stories features world-famous actor Sean Penn, while another includes music provided by Imagine Dragons. Seven brilliant Ukrainian directors offer new perspectives on significant and emotive experiences. Their storytelling masterpiece speaks directly to the heart.
All ticket proceeds were donated to support humanitarian needs in Ukraine.
This event once again demonstrated the power of cinema to foster empathy, raise awareness, and bring people together in solidarity.
