The event "Art of Taste Charity Evening" took place on November 10, 2024, in Haarlem. Kastanje played an important role in the organisation at every stage. Members of Kastanje Mariana Dzhulai, Kateryna Pishchikova and Tetyana Poletava were part of the organising team in collaboration with Haarlem for Ukraine and chef Vasello. The team was responsible for the location, the exhibition, the music program, the hosts, the script for the hosts and the charity auction.
This unique event brought together Ukrainian culinary masters, contemporary artists and musicians, creating a refined charity evening as part of an international initiative. The program featured a five-course vegetarian tasting menu by renowned Ukrainian chefs who arrived in Haarlem to reinterpret traditional Ukrainian cuisine in a modern Michelin-inspired style. It also included an exhibition curated by Mariana Dzhulai and presented by Block A Gallery with works by Roman Zhuk, Oleh Tistol and Tetiana An, as well as live music performances by Nastya and Richard and Natasha Sulym. The evening was defined by its charity art auction, with proceeds directed toward supporting Ukrainian artists and funding evacuation vehicles for those at risk in war zones.
During the auction, seven artworks by Oleh Tistol donated by Block A Gallery raised 11
thousand euros. In total, the event brought together 150 guests and resulted in 22 thousand
euros collected for evacuation vehicles.
Guests explored new culinary experiences alongside visual and musical art, which created a
strong sense of solidarity and meaningful connection.
