On29 November 2024, theKastanje Dutch-Ukrainian Cultural Centre organised an inspiring and well-attended Q&A session with one of Ukraine’s most accomplished grant managers and curators,Alona Karavai.
The event took place at theAmsterdam Law Hub and brought together more people than we expected. The topic touched a nerve — many Ukrainian creatives in the Netherlands are looking for ways to realise their ideas and get funding for their projects.
Alona openly shared her experience of over 20 years in grant management. She gave honest, practical advice on how to apply for European grants, how to report properly, and what to pay attention to when planning a project.
The discussion offered not only valuable information but also a space for meaningful exchange and networking. Participants left with greater clarity and a deeper understanding of how to approach grant funding in Europe.
